End-of-life vehicles, handled formally
Status: regulatory clearances under application. The facility is not yet operating.
A Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility is the formal route for retiring a vehicle in India. It depollutes the vehicle first — fuel, oils, coolant, refrigerant, battery, airbags — then dismantles it into recoverable streams, and issues the owner a Certificate of Deposit against the scrappage.
That certificate is the point. It is what allows an owner to claim the incentives attached to scrapping an old vehicle, and it is what distinguishes a registered facility from the informal cutting yards that currently handle most of the country’s end-of-life vehicles — recovering the steel, losing everything else, and leaving the hazardous fractions in the ground.
This is the same principle as the rest of the group, applied to a manufactured object rather than a crop: take what is finished, recover what is in it, and do it inside a framework someone can audit.
We will publish the facility’s location, capacity and registration number when clearances are granted.
